Djehooty 0.5.0: Thumbnails, extended viewer and automatic migration

Djehooty v0.5.0 has been available for a few days. This new update, released on April 15, improves the internal management of thumbnails and now allows associating a thumbnail with an individual. This way, individuals can be more easily identified through their portrait or any thumbnail of your choice.

This is a first step in personalizing individuals. It will subsequently be possible to search for a thumbnail within the documents on which an individual is identified. Users will eventually be able to select an area within an image to zoom in on a face or a signature, for example.

The viewer previously only supported images. It now handles PDF, audio, and video formats. The browser natively supports these formats for the time being. The interface will be progressively improved for better integration and better support of different file formats.

I am pleased to announce today the v0.4.0 of Djehooty. I have taken into account the initial feedback I received in November. I have notably worked on improving the application's distribution.

Djehooty is now also distributed as a Linux executable that embeds both backend and frontend. This adds to the existing Docker image distribution. This binary could easily be compiled for Windows and MacOS but I don't have the means to test it at this stage. I am focusing for now on Linux and Docker releases. But I remain available if anyone would be interested in testing on other operating systems.
