Individual
An individual represents a physical person who is described by a set of information allowing their identification.
This concept allows associating people with documents or photographs, identifying authors, or linking the author of a digitization to a database entry. Multiple documents can thus be linked to the same individual, facilitating the management and search of information related to people.
Create an individual
To create an Individual, go to the Individuals tab and click on "Add new individual". An interface opens, allowing you to enter first name(s), last name, occupation, Wikipedia page, Wikidata identifier.
It is possible to create an individual without providing their first name and last name. This will notably allow identifying and manipulating individuals even when they are anonymous (or under a pseudonym).

Edit an individual
Editing an individual works the same way as creation, but this time by clicking on the "Edit" button.
Delete an individual
To delete an individual, go to the individual's page and click on the "Delete" button. An interface then prompts you to confirm or cancel your choice.
Individual deletion is permanent.
